Just a FED thought....

Our esteemed friend and fellow member John Robinson recently posted a photograph of the fabulously beautiful Ilford Witness (see below). Whilst eyeing it with tears and unbridled lust, I had a strange thought. Carry the niche by the release a little way towards the viewfinder, freeing the recessed shutter dial and what do you have?

Something very much like a FED 2. Could the Witness have inspired our chums in Kharkov? 🙂

IMO it's quite far from any FSU cam... and the layout of controls is probably inherited from some classic Leica it was inspired by...
