BTW, this shot doesn't work at all in color, because the tiny reflections go off into all sorts of single-pixel colors. Does anyone know what's up with that? I've only seen it in photos from this lens.

Yes this is a wonderful lens. I bought one last year in ZM mount. A real performer. I definitely like the colour IQ and contrast. Being such a small size is very nice as well.
I don't shoot B/W as much these days. I have to send it out and that almost defeats the reason to use B/W film.

Got ZI and a C-biogon a couple of days ago. not chance to shoot something real yet so a boardroom table and a kid will have to do for now. Really like the size and the feel of the lens.

The C-Biogon 35mm f2.8 is visually one of most pleasant 35mm focal length lenses I have tried. Its rendering is smooth and harmonic, well balanced in-focus and out-of-focus rendering IMO.
