But I'm with you. I'd take a Zorki ... and a J8 ... and an empty suitcase ... and my first stop would be the UKRAINE!! Hey, he asked "What would you take?" not, "What would you come home with?" 😀

As of today it would be my Contax IIa with 50mm f1.5 Sonnar. If my Canon P ever gets here I may change my mind. 🙂

My second choice would be either my Olympus RC or one of my Canon QL-17 GIII's.

How's that for a definite decision.

My choice would be my Bessa R with CV 35mm f2.5, its light, compact and just a great all round machine and it works without a battery (have to guesstimate the light but with the latitude of neg film its no real problem).

Hmmm, if I was worried about getting batteries, or rough handling, it would be my Kiev with the Prominent Nokton (w/adapter) and the VC meter. That kit makes my M2 feel like plastic fantastic and the nokton is so good, I keep the Kiev around just to be able to use it.

If batteries and mistreatment weren't an issue, I'd take my Hexar and the Nokton 40/1.4.

This is the only lens I would give up my 35 Summicron for. I think my life would be complete if I could figure out a way to turn my 35/2 into a 35/1.4, aspherical of course.

My around-the-world route would avoid places with batteries and pleasant weather. The only reliable choice that will return with lots of bits, a time tested Iskra 2.

Hmmm... a recent post indicates an Iskra winder has failed. 🙁

I would not consume too much vodka and wind the film with my gloves off during the trip. 🙂

Canonet 28 and plenty of either Delta 400 or Tri-X.

Though if it was working, I'd probably end up taking the Argus instead. An Argus C3, the 50/3.5, and a decent amount of Pan-F would be very desirable for some shots.

I have no choice with the camera, Canon 7s, but as for lens it would be the CV 35mm/f2.5 pancake, sacrficing the speed of the Canon 50/1.2 to gain the wider angle and to not lose shots fiddling with the loooooong focus.

My most reliable is the Canonet GIII QL17, small, full manual override, only needs a battery for the meter and good glass.

If I was not limited to just one lense, then it'll be one of the Kiev's with J12, J8, J9 & J11.

The early Leotax (no synch) with collapsible lens that I hauled around in desert dust (in an ammo pouch) for several years during the early '70s and it never missed a beat and took outstanding pictures. Just one more gem lost during my stupid years.
