Kai at Digirevtv no more

Kai without doubt the funniest reviewer of cameras I have ever seen, and IS a priceless figure in a very pretentious field. 🙂

GO KAI GO 🙂

Some viewers were in favor of his scary handling of the loaned gear. But to me it was showing the character who could care less about equipment which isn't his.

Maybe just me, but the past year or so I've felt that he didn't seem to be as enthusiastic or having as much fun as in the earlier Digirev vids. The later ones felt a bit forced.

Cheers,

John

I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next. I like the unique 'voice' he adds to the camera gear universe. I agree with John L. that the past year, Kai has seemed less enthusiastic. Maybe he just needs a new venue... one where he calls the shots. 🙂

I like Kai's reviews even though they are sometimes way over the top. At least he doesn't just regurgitate the camera manufacturers' marketing materials, and actually points out shortcomings in equipment which customers should know about prior to purchase. I wish him the best of luck.

Was never really a fan of his, he'd get needlessly negative about some things seemingly just to up the character he was playing rather than actually dealing with the cameras.

Also I found myself going "but that's not how it's supposed to work" when he was going "IT DOESN'T DO X" I don't know if it was for effect or not, but I remember being annoyed by it on a few occasions.

I am a fan of the pro photographer cheap camera challenge though, that's a great idea.

I always liked him, even if I didn't always agree with him...

To be fair though, he was doing essentially the same thing at Digital Rev for quite a while, which is going to get old in any job.

Looks like Lok has also left according to Warren's instagram.
Or Warren has left.
He's not very clear.
I think Kai and PJB could be really good together.

The first review that I saw of his was the Leica X1. I thought it was superb. The last year it has felt a little strained. I enjoy his work. Although the show seemed to peak when they had their female sidekick (Alamby) with then in 2013.

Wish him the best and hope that we see a lot more of him.
