Kentmere 400, latest samples

Kodak released the "new" 400TX in 2007, as noted in Post #40 above. Some more details on Wikipedia:

But that is unfortunately wrong!!
Wikipedia - as so often - is not a reliable source! Every uneducated idiot is allowed to write his crap there.

Tri-X reformulation happened in 2001 / 2002, when Kodak re-located all of their BW film production from their worldwide factories back to one factory: Their main and biggest factory in Rochester (Building 38).
Tri-X after that reformulation is a bit finer grained than the former version, and developing times are different with some developers.
Otherwise the characteristics have remained unchanged.

The uneducated author(s) of the Wikipedia article may have changed Tri-X with T-Max 400: Because T-Max 400 has got an improved emulsion in 2007: Original TMY was replaced by significantly improved TMY-2 in that year.

I've never tried the "old" Tri-X, so I'll happily stand corrected. Not sure if the folks at Wikipedia will be as easily or happily corrected, but that's another topic for a different thread. Maybe you can, uh, help reformulate the Wiki article. In the meantime, back to some more Kentmere 400 samples. ;)
