I'm somewhere in the vicinity of post #1000 and within a couple of weeks of squandering away... uhhhh, I mean enjoying a year here at RFF. Over the past year, there have been an abundance of treasured comments. Here are just a few that kept me coming back for more... and feel free to add others.

“There never was a purchase of camera gear that I regretted long. There never was a sale of camera gear to which I ever fully reconciled myself.” ~ Benjamin Marks

“Can I supply a list of people to put me on their ignore list? Can we just add ourselves to other people's ignore list?” ~ Brian Sweeney

“Now when I go out my pockets are stuffed with so many lenses I look like a sack of walnuts.” ~ Nick R

"Distant focusing is farther off than closer subjects." ~ GerryM

“Cheaper than buying more gear. I'm out of room to sit my coffee cup down.” ~ greyhoundman

“I sure am glad someone bought it because I was getting ready to sell my left N** to buy it.” ~ byuphoto

“i quite often think ' do they know i'm sitting here naked, eating a banana?'” ~ back alley

“How anyone could label fifty adult men with cat avatars as unfriendly is beyond me.” ~ biggles

“Seeing our pictures chosen by photo editors and used in newspapers is that little "nod" we need to keep us going. The next day it wraps fish and lines the bottom of bird cages.” ~ saxshooter

“[A Leica is] an expensive copy of a Zorki of course.” ManGo

"...the wife will only let me watch people fixing houses or people cooking food. And she won't let me watch the food channel anymore when Rachel Ray is on ever since I said she had a 'major-league set of yabbos' or something like that." ~ bmattock

"That is one esthetically-challenged camera! (I'd photograph with it though, after 6 or 8 beers, and with a paper bag over it.)" ~ FrankS

"ah yes, the long and lonely nights, dreaming about fondling some lovely new russian... am i using my outside voice again?" ~ back alley

I am at the office reading this and laughing out loud. People are staring (again!).

Bill M - I've never heard kitchen utensils referred to as 'yabbos' before.

Thanks for sharing these classic moments.

Despite the occasional spat, there have been some great moments and great quotes. Perhaps a quote of the month sticky is in order. 🙂
