Holy smokes, a Kiev with a rear door instead of a removable back.

By 1985 - the Kiev chassis had been soldiering on for nearly 40 years. I guess after the Kiev 5 didn't go over so well that this is what it came down to.

I think this is the logical evolution from the well proven Contax-Kiev original design with some other benefits like the hinged back, a CdS cell (why not a silicon photodiode?), as well as some other improvements over the old models like a redesigned winding knob. But commercially speaking this camera woudn´t enjoy of a good sales level as the improvements came one generation later than their competitors.

There's no record of a Kiev 7 in Princelle. If I had to guess, this is a prototype or maybe even somebody's custom creation based on the Kiev-4m.
