I had issues with dust on the sensor on my LX5, after a long motorcycle trip this past summer during which the camera took a few bumps.

The problem at last was a very visible hair in the center of the screen. In bright light it was visible, in the way and annoying.

I watched a few cleaning videos for various Panasonic compacts and decided to give it a go, knowing I might end up with a brick-and I sort of did.

The LX5 is much more complex inside, the motherboard had to come out to get to the sensor, many more ribbon connectors than the various TZ models in the videos, and I think I damaged one in reassembly.

Everything works except the sensor. ***.

I have a bunch of accessories for this camera-LVF, wide and tele adaptors, hoods etc, so if anyone has one of these (really great) cameras let me know. I ordered a new camera already-so I'll start over with something new tonight.
