I acquired this massive collection of kodachrome slides from a photographer I purchased some gear from. He came to my work one day and literally dropped this entire collection off and made me promise that I would do something with them one day. I looked through just a few, and they are really cool. My guess is that this person was a professor and was using these for slide shows during lectures, but thats just a guess. If anyone can ID some of these places, please by all means let me know.

Even better, if by some miraculous chance someone knows who may have taken these, let me know! I hope you enjoy these....there are thousands so I will post them up as I get time...

First batch, My guess is Israel.

Nice find. I have no clue on locations but I do have a box of Kodachrome slides from the 50s I bought years ago and I should finally scan those (Swiss guy who traveled in Cuba and Africa), some are pretty cool.
Good luck

Ah, here you are!:)

Wow! Thousands of slides to scan and post???

You are to be commended for all the work to share these slides. I don't remember if or when I have seen Kodachrome slides like these. Very interesting for 1958, 1974 and 1976! They look like yesterday's images.

Thanks for all the work, looking forward to more.:):):)

Thanks!
I’m picking through and trying to find the best from each set. I have to sort them all by date first. Right now they are all mixed up in about 5 slide boxes. Whoever took them had a really cool life. I’m hoping if I share them on social media that I might be able to get them to a relative at some point. Scanning them REALLY makes me wish this film was still made. I haven’t seen and doubt we will ever see the same palette from negative or digital
