Kodak Chevron on a walk downtown.

I took this quirky old camera for a walk around the old downtown last week, loaded up with some Fuji Velvia 100 and Tri-X. The camera was fun to shoot, with an accurate rangefinder and shutter, and the old coated Ektar lens is superb.

The pre-rolled 620 film was acquired from the Film Photography Project. I think that the oversized controls on the Chevron will make it an ideal cold-weather camera. The "stacked" viewfinder, with the normal view on top of the split image view, takes a little getting useful but works quite well.

I was admiring these photo's last night while on flickr & was wondering what film type you had in it. I was figuring 620 but wasn't sure if you respooled it yourself or not. The FPP folks are great for offering 620 film & spools for these old cameras.

The only problem with the FPP 620 respools is that the paper tabs have too strong of an adhesive. I think that the removable type of pressure-sensitive adhesive would be a better choice.

I re-spool my own as it's much cheaper, only done when needed, and I can use up my ready stock of 120. I also make sure to let the lab know I want the spool back.
