I just got a nice looking Kodak pocket 60 that I'd like to use, but the vertical adjustment is out of alignment (by a lot!). The distance seems believable. I remember reading that the rangefinder could be adjusted years ago, but can't find a screw to do it or a reference online now. Anyone know how? Otherwise, looks like a nice rangefinder to shoot! Thanks!

just for sharing information, I got this response in a facebook group:

"The top aluminum cover is held on by tabs at each end. It can be carefully pried off There is an adjustment screw hole accessible from the top near the distance scale that will allow you to calibrate the left right (horizontal?) view. Now sure if there's something to set the vertical. That sounds like the mirror might be loose from it's cradle. Be prepared that when you pull the cover off, the focusing rack will probably jump up and be loose. Not a simple one to work on. I seem to recall de-soldering a flex cable too. Good luck. If you got it on eBay, I'd be sending it back..."

Turned out the electronics in this camera were dead as well, so I am sending it back. While the rangefinder is really impressively bright for such a little camera, just playing with it, I decided to "downgrade" to the Kodak Pocket Instamatic 50 without a rangefinder since for my purposes, there will always be enough DOF to cover me guess focusing and it makes it easier for me to compose without the distraction. Just like some people complain about the separate rangefinder and viewfinder in the old Leicas, I prefer it. Get the focus and then concentrate on composing the shot. Just personal preference. I never had an issue shooting my Rollei A110 with no rangefinder, so this should be the same. I'm hoping the Kodak Ektar lens in the 50/60 is about as good as the Rollei licensed Tessar. (And that the Kodak proves to be a lot more reliable than the 3 Rolleis I've gone through!)

Loving my Kodak Pocket Instamatics! :)
