Hi,
I bought a Konica Auto S3 recently and was very disappointed when I realised that the meter was broken . I checked the battery compartment and found that the anode + and cathode - were shorting out
( As per https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117002)
I managed to fix this with a bit of electrical tape. However now when I put a LR44 battery into the compartment the light meter jumps to F16 and stays on this no matter the amount of light.
If anyone has any idea of the potential problem and how to fix it,
It would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks

I have two Auto S3's. One of them experienced the same issue. I found that there is a small circuit board under the top cover. The wire connections were shorting there as well. I buggered it up trying to fix it myself. You might want to check there. It's pretty easy removing the top to check it out. Just be careful regarding the got shie wire. SW

Thanks, no luck however as the wires don't seem to be shorting
