I have some new results with the Konica S2. I notice flare in the photos taken in open sunlight. I don't know if this is an inherent feature of the lens or whether my lens has internal haze.

Here is a link for more results from the XP2 roll of film.

Interesting to see. The pictures I saw from that lens were really good, of course, no flare.
I read that the Auto S2 lens was very good in terms of contrast and sharpness.
Did you use a hood?
Some models of the Auto S2 came with a collapsible hood (mine has), however my camera is getting out of the surgery room so it hasn´t been tested yet.
It´s the same flare I observed in the Yashica Lynx14 lens (when used w/out hood).

Check for haze. In case you need to open the lens, it´s very easy to do and clean it.

Ernesto,
I used the built-in lens hood. The previous roll of film as shot in the shade, and all photos came out sharp and contrasty. I will take a good look at the lens to figure out why there was flare.

I took another look at my photos, and I began to doubt internal haze. There is a softness and lack of sharpness on one side of all photos. I inspected the lens, and sure enough, there was a clear big fingerprint (smudge) on one part of the lens. I cleaned it up, and hope there will no more flare.
