Konica S2 - shutter problem

Hi all, I've been reading this forum for a while now but this is my first post here and I was hoping to get a bit of advice. I just received a "mechanically sound" Konica Auto S2 which I bought off ebay, only to find the aperture blades were stuck. So I pulled the lens from the body, got past the rearmost lens cell and cleaned them up, all good. So, now when I put everything back together, the shutter isn't operating properly (it was working before I pulled it apart). The advance lever cocks the shutter and it will fire if tripped with a finger/screwdriver, but pressing the button doesn't set it off. I've tried adjusting the gold screw (pictured) with no luck, this is the first time I've pulled an RF apart and I can't figure out what I'm missing, does anyone who's tinkered with a few of these have any ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Did you clean the blades with solvent before you tore it all apart?

Ok, assuming you had a "live" battery and the meter was active before you pulled the lense off? I just ask this as I've torn down dozens of the S2's.

burean - I didn't take the actual shutter apart, just the lens assembly from the main body: the shutter itself is operating fine but the linkage from the button shaft doesn't seem to be adjusted properly to operate the lever on the lens/shutter assembly, hope that makes sense. At the moment there is no battery in there and some of the metering circuit wires are disconnected, but the shutter was operating before I disassembled the camera (with no battery) so I'm not sure how this could affect it? I'm quite sure it's an adjustment/placement issue somewhere. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep tinkering

OK, well I've just put a small bit of solder on the lever arm (on the lens assembly) to close the gap between that an the shaft, and now the shutter's firing great. Just in case it's of any use/curiosity to anybody, here's a picture of the soldering job, thanks heaps for the advice everyone

:bang:No solder was necessary needed. I'll bet the auto mode will not work correctly now. To assemble the lens plate back onto the body the film ring must be set to the auto mode and the horseshoe shaped arm on the back side must be lock down before assembly🙄
