I think you need to be a certain age to remember the Rat Pack, it took me a while to work out who it was when I heard the news on the radio - he definately did not have as high a profile as some others in the group.
Without being trite it is the end of an era, these guys were 'the big deal' in my youth, makes me realise none of us is getting any younger!
