Hello,
I came across an earlier thread on disassembling the Dual-Range model, but I’m looking for more specific guidance on the Leica Summicron 50mm f/2 Rigid Type II.
I’ve completed work on the focusing mechanism and progressed through most of the optical block.
At this point, I’m stuck trying to access the aperture blades. I’ve removed both the rear-most and front-most elements, but as I understand it, the next elements on either side are friction-fit. I haven’t been able to remove them using a suction cup despite multiple attempts.
If anyone has experience with this stage of disassembly or can clarify the correct approach, I’d appreciate the help.
