:)joe;)

 It was me, sir. :( No GAS intended

Recently I bought an uncoated collapsible Summmitar 50/2 (No. 520597) from a forum member for $25. It works perfectly. There was some ballyhoo in the classified threads that day.

It's going to be tough for me to beat that deal.

Good cash deals on RF lenses... There's the J-12 for $45, we almost have to bypass the FSU lenses they're so low-cost. The next standout is the $150 for a 90mm Sonnar-G from a forum member. And $175 for the 50mm Skopar. Several others within the $75 above that. I'm pretty pleased with these deals... But looking at the other end of the price scale I wince at what I had to pay for a couple of them.

Cheapest was $19 for a FED branded Industar-22 with really good glass.

Cheapest for a German/Japanese lens is $189 for a brand new CV Color-Skopar 35mm/f2.5.

My best deals on lens so far:

J-8 Keiv mount--- free

Tamron SP 90mm macro with 1:1 adapter and a Canon FD Adaptall mount ==Free

Zeiss Biogon 21mm f4.5 = free (had to pay Golden Touch 65$ for CLA)

That's about all of the fairly good deals I have gotten.

The lowest price I've ever paid for a lens is for one I'm still waiting on so it remains to be seen if it's a good deal or not - the B&L Zeiss Tessar 5x8 f6.3 for $11.20. It'd have to be pretty bad not to be worth that much though :D

Wayne, I thought that I got a deal when I purchased a Contax IIIa off eBay, and a gourgeous post-war 35 Biogon showed up in the package. The ad for the auction mentioned that "various extras" were included in the auction. This sale was also the source of my ZI 427 Contax bright-line finder (another unmentioned extra).

I had to pay a lot of cash for my 21mm.

dexdog,

I had to pay a lot of cash for the other items that came with the 21mm. After I sold some of the items I still came out with a free 21mm, plus some other free stuff.

WOW.... I was going to ask if anyone wanted to sell me a 21mm f4.5 Biogon for my Contax at say $200 JUST so I could contribute to this thread....

BUT WAYNE....FREE! Haha, well done!!! :)

Oh well if anyone spots a cheap 21mm Biogon <an oxymoron I know> for my sad and lonely Contax IIa with 21mm finder please let me know....there can't be many <if any?> Biogons here in Australia unfortunately.

Oops, I failed to notice that this is a leica/bessa/canon thread...

$118 for an excellent+ condition Canon 100/3.5, with case, caps and hood. Only one other bidder on the eBay auction.

Bests deals, as I remember them:

$300 for VI-T+50/1.2 (VI-T needed service, sold it for $150)
$200 for Leica II black/nickel 1932 (no service required)
$79 for Canon 135/4+leitz LTM/M adapter
$200 for a whole pack of russian LTM gear (Zorki1+I22, Fed1+Fed 3.5/50,Fed2+I26,Fed2(black)+I61, Mir+I61, Leningrad+J8, J12, J9,85 finder,extra J8, couple filters, hoods, extension tubes, cases all around, etc.)

The lowest priced lenses I've found have been the Russian 50mm's. I bought an Industar 22, very good condition, for $20 with a Zorki 2 attached to it. The black Jupiter 8's generally go for $30 in near new condition.

My best buy in a M-mount lens was the Hexanon 50mm/f2. These were $200, new, from a dealer in New York who was clearing out his inventory when the Hexar RF line was discontinued about two years ago.

Well I must include the Used Camera Store Grab Bag in this thread.

Leitz Elmar 5cm F3.5 on a Leica IIIf in a fitted case for $50. Also in the grab-bag a 42mm screw mount 50mm F2.8 Tessar, a Zeis box camera, and other odds-and-ends filling a closed brown grocery bag.

I bought an Olive R2 and 35 Summicron 4th version kit for $725. Then I resold the R2 on ebay because no one wanted it here. Well, in the end the Summicron was a nice find.
