Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is what happens when you mix three parts beer, one part boredom, and two parts extra clay....

Yes, I know the cigar drooped a bit, as well as his hair-do, that's a result of me not being too familiar with this clay, and having baked it a little too hot. Also pardon the somewhat crappy nature of the photography, since I don't have a macro on my little digi-thing.

By the way, this guy's about one and a half inches tall.

At present, my new chicken collection consists of this Leica Chicken, a Fly-fishing Chicken (complete with rainbow trout of course), and a Business Chicken with a cigar and telephone.
 
Very cute indeed! You do have good skill in art and craft! 🙂

Thanks for all the kind words, I think by looking at these chickens, it should be fairly obvious that I try not to take myself TOO seriously.

The "Business Chicken" is at my wife's office, I'll try to get a few pictures of him on Tuesday. By then, I may even have a few more chickens if anybody is interested. I'll leave the subject matter, or shall I say the character identities a secret, so that they might surprise people.

This is the flyfishing chicken, and my my was he hard to photograph. I could probablly do a better job if I set up a dedicated space for it, until then bare with me. I did some photoshop manipulation on "pic 44" because when I made him, I was running out of white clay, so I had to wrap brown clay in white, and probablly missed an air bubble while I was doing it; his belly cracked.
The fish is actually supposed to hang off in front of him, he's supposed to sit on a shelf, as if he's really fishing, but that was just too hard to photograph.

If you're interested (that goes for anybody) in buying such a chicken, then I have to say, I rarely turn down money, so the answer is yes.

However, I won't sell these exact chickens, because they're not perfect, rather they were experiments. I would be more than happy to make another one, one that will be perfect. Make an offer, and we'll talk. On tuesday I'm going to get some more clay, and I think there's a metallic silver one offered, so there is some potential for making a chrome leica or something like a FED or Zorki, if anybody's interested. I could even add some appropriate Soviet attire.

If anybody is interested, I can continue to post pics of the chickens as they roll off the production line, hee hee.

Incidentally, here's a couple pic's of an octopus I made for my wife the other day...she likes eating octopus, so I made her one. Perhaps it's a bit morbid that she'll have him staring at her all day in reproachingly.
