I'm looking for a model number or other indication for a lens cap that will work for a Summicron-C 40mm (originally for Leica/Leitz CL). I haven't yet gotten to the point of sitting at B&H trying every generic cap, but I did go to Photo Village and they didn't have any that worked.

any pinch 39mm cap will work, or, alternately, a 40/41mm push on cap ... available at B&H

Do you really want to get one and then worry about losing it? Stick with a nice generic one.

If one uses the original rubber hood then the 14191 is the cap to use, it sits very good with the rubber hood on the lens, no way to drop it from there.
I like to have the hoods constantly sitting on my lenses whether on camera or in bag, and have a hard time to find caps that fit to the hood aperture.

Just wanted to second Per's comment here. The cap works very well with the original rubber hood. The CL is already such a nice travel sized camera that it's nice to also have the hood always ready to go and the cap so readily removeable yet held firmly in place as well.

Thanks, folks.
KoNickon - I was looking for any cap - not necessarily the "real thing." So I think I'm covered by these responses.
I'm actually using this lens on a CLE. Funny thing is, I stopped in at Photo Village to see if they had a cap and walked out with the single-coated Nokton 40mm. I freaked that I might not get one before they sell out of what's supposedly the second and final batch.
So I'm still down one lens cap but I'm up one lens.
