Those are great, Joe. The Elmar-C is totally underrated, IMO. The copy I tried was incredibly sharp.

no triptych...as a matter of fact, these are the only 2 shots i have taken with the lens so far. i was sitting, having coffee with the seller and playing with the lens.

I use a 90mm on the R-D1 quite a lot to get closer to unsuspecting objects. Looks like you´ve found good use for it already. Way to go Joe.

Yes Joe, I use a Nippon Kogaku Varifocal finder. It goes up to 135mm, which is 90mm (90 x 1.5 = 135) on an R-D1. It has parallax correction too. A Tewe as discussed by Roger recently would work too, they had an almost identical version. Its a cool accessory and looks good on the camera too.
