Leica for 130.000$

When I win the North Carolina Educational Lottery I'm going to buy that kit. Should make a a good everyday carry around don't you think?😉

Seriously though, I wonder how Photo Arsenal got this kit? Anyone know?

Just in case you have another $130 000 to spare. I saw this kit in Tokyo 10 days ago. You get many more lenses with this - and you save a lot of money on film as the camera is a 1/2 frame Nikon S3M. With film at around $5/roll - you would only have to shoot about 25000 rolls to be ahead of the game!
Personally, I find this kit more interesting than the Salgado stuff!

New M7 = $4400
New 50/1.4 = $4200
New 90/2 = $3500
New 28/2 = $3900
Case probably = $300
Total = $16,300

So it's only 8 times the price of a new kit... not too bad. :-D

The easy-to-remember serial number has got to be worth another $10k.

cr*p, I was going to buy that with my winning ticket. I would shoot it for thirty years straight and then shelve it, all brassy and dented.

And every day I worked with it I would love it and remember the donation to the planets health I made when buying it.

No use to put it on a shelf from the start, it's not a coversation piece, it's a camera. You use it. I hope the new owner is be a RFF fellow, and that he will shoot it!

😀 Ah, you didn't take into consideration this is made out of solid Titanium! 😀

That prototype M3 with watch Summikron (with a K) is way cooler then this special edition m7. That m3 is a piece of history and believed to be the earliest M camera known! This titanium m7 was designed as a collectors item...

it's a phylantropy, social project thing: Salgado has land and funds a social project there. He plants trees, builds jobs etc.. KIngs and actors, friends of Salgado, fund it. One of them probably bought the specially made for him Leica. Salgado is not a Leica nut... He is a prophotographer w/ a heart and political view.
it has nothing to do w/ market value.
