Is there a regional setting failure going on here? You know, in countries where the decimal point and separator comma are switched around? I once bid $1500 on an item instead of $15 because of that (and yes, I won that one, but not for $15 *sigh*).

I’m not that well-versed in Leica collectables, but this is a very rare black “Swedish Three-Crown” IIIG. They only made a 100 or so. I’m sure that jacks the price way up.

Well, a black IIIg without Swedish army branding would be even more expensive - most known black ones have the three crowns. They currently sell for an average of $50,000, and none have ever sold for a six digit figure. And this one is nice (like many of them), but other than the seller claims far from mint (see the bottom plate), so it would fetch an average price.

For that kind of bread, I hope they'll throw-in an ABLON and an unscratched Summarit....

Get 2 or more bidders chasing the same item and the winner will have probably let emotion get in his or her way and overpay just to win. Collectiblend puts the high at 90k.

Good catch! So it is not only overpriced for the genuine item, but a well-known fake that has already failed to sell at much lower prices...

Seems we've seen this and the like before, a bit like that recurring IIg which I think was in Aus?
