Well, I have always said the M2 is my favorite classic film Leica. The viewfinder cannot be beat IMHO and the M4 is my second favorite M as I can live with the small 135 frame lines in the 35 FOV. I have never changed from that opinion.
If you look at my history of M ownership at the start of the thread, I have only owned an M3 once for a couple years back in the middle 1970's. I was wondering if there was something I missed or did not remember of an M3's magic compared to M2 or M4. It appears to me there is not so I will be sticking with an M2. I don't shoot enough film anymore to justify to M film bodies
