Fabio, thanks - I will keep on trying 😉

Michael, thanks for your insight, I have a lot to learn, and it is interesting to see how PS handles files differently than LR (I have only used the latter so far for MM shots). I wonder if ACR has different algorythms for processing raw files? In LR I can get close to your output, but not bang on. I'm also struggling with the file sizes / processing overhead on my ageing laptop. Time for a technology transplant, methinks. (cracking bus shot too, BTW)

Overall a great thread and a constant source of inspiration.

John I have LR and Silver Efex but I prefer CS6 by a lot. It all starts in raw and I process the files to Tiffs and then tweak them in PS.

Thanks for your thoughts - I'm putting together a new machine for post, and will be installing PS6 as well as LR 5.5 and SFx.

It will be interesting to see what difference it makes to my results.

Michael,

Another great shot with "Got Air", I love the clarity and contrast - what sort of shutter speed is that 1/2000?

With the previous one of the grafitti and burka, I like the idea, but maybe my astigmatism is struggling with all the competing lines and shapes, sorry but, for me alone, the first only slightly less than excellent one you have posted.

Thanks John

'The Walls Have Eyes' was intended to be contrasty - more than my usual - and intense. I did take a risk that people wouldn't like its finish.

Thanks for commenting though
Michael

If anyone is going to be in New York on July 1 please stop by.

I was selected for this exhibit at the Soho Gallery in New York. It was a juried show and only 42 images were chosen from over 2600. The opening is July 1.

Heres the info..

And here is the photograph that they selected.

Here are some 8 1/2 X 11 handouts I made for the exhibit.

And besides having one of my photos selected to be in the exhibit at the Soho Gallery in New York, I just found out that I was selected to have a one man exhibit at the Rangefinder Galley here in Chicago at 300 W Superior probably next July but the exact month hasn't been determined but it will be sometime next summer. If you can't make New York and live near Chicago please come by that exhibit next summer.
