Searched around on the repair/ diy forums and couldn’t find anything so I’m hoping to make this a resource for others as well as myself. Many know the woes of worn through brass strap lugs, but what have people done to repair this without having steal lugs installed. Some sort of steel sleeve would be perfect, maybe someone has a specific part they used and could recommend.
Replacement lugs is the only solution of which I'm aware...

Not a real answer but not long after getting my M2 (with hella worn lugs) I switched over to using shoelaces for the strap. Can't wear the strap lugs more if the material in contact is softer than the brass of the lugs.
Now I have an M4 (and a lathe - I could easily make hollow rivets) but both have shoelace straps because I prefer them.
