Leica M5 & Konica M-Hexanon 28mm/2.8 lens

My wife just doesn't notice. She might if I bought a body of a different color, but then again she might not. I have so many boxes coming to the house for my business that the occasional one containing an M7 or whatever just goes into the office and no-one is any the wiser. 😉

I always buy my Leica lenses in the same colour so that Mrs Andy doesn't know I bought another one.

Oh, nuts, she's standing behind me isn't she. Ouch, aahhh, owwww...

And I thought I was devious and secretive.

Update on the M5+28mm frame line. Not necessary. I'm shooting my first roll with the 28mm & standard M5 viewfinder. So far so good. If the pictures prove otherwise, I'll put the Komura 28mm finder in the hot shoe.

That's a Manitowoc 4100! 😀 I'll tell Bubba his bright red crane is pink. 😱

It's crap film. It's late. I don't have a clue how to change colors in Adobe Lightroom. Maybe someday.

Hi, Wayne you've bought a great lens. I keep the lens hood on all the time and use a $6 snap on cap. It's a little awkward getting it on and off but after a while you'll get the hang of it.
Regards Alan

Thanks, Alan. What size snap cap? I managed to find an MM scale in the office (we are metrically challenged you know) and the front of the hood is 61-62mm. So, I'm thinking that a 62mm snap cap will work. The normal lens vented hoods from Heavystar take a 55mm cap. Very handy!

One roll may not prove a lot, but I do like this lens.

Sorry Wayne, I didn't make myself quite clear on the snap on cap. The size is 46mm, that is the cap fits onto the inside of the lens hood just above the filter/lens surface. Thats why it's a little awkward getting it off and on. However it means the vented hood can be left on permanently.
