Hi guys
I recently acquired a Leica MP Black Paint and the pictures seems a little soft at further distances. Close ups are pretty sharp but anything beyond 20 feet seems out of focus. It almost seems like my old MP that I sold seemed sharper.
I currently have a M-A and MP and I guess I have to run a test. The MA is brand new so if with be same lens on both bodies, taking the same picture and if the pictures come out the Sam then I guess nothing is wrong.
Or maybe it's just my imagination because I recently aquired Mamiya 7ii and looking at medium format then looking at 35mm film format makes me think that the images are soft.

Well the help that I need is how does one test the focus accuracy on the Leica MP film body?
I hope this made sense.
Thanks in advance.

Get a tripod, set it up with each of the two cameras, focus them at various distances with the same lens - like at infinity (the moon is best) and closer up, and as a second option shooting with film.

That's how I learnt that someone did a home repair on a Leica lens (did not focus to infinity) ...

I tried this with a known camera (my own) and my friends'. Your M-A should not be out, so in this case it could be the known quantity.
