Good morning. I have a problem with my MP rewinding film. I have finished a roll and wanted to spool it back when I felt tension where I could not rotate the rewind knob. I did not want to force it so I took it home and in the dark I opened it up and took the film out. I then loaded a test roll and made some shots trying to rewind it again but could not do it. It did not rotate at all. I opened it and took the film out. Then I left the door open and put the R in "rewind" position and checked the sprocket shaft with my finger. It did not rotate at all as it should to release film. Apart of this issue the camera operates as it should, advancing is smooth, the problem only with rewinding.
I thought it is known problem but looking through internet I could not find any related thread. Please let me know if anyone else experienced the same problem and found a solution.

Thanks guys. As i said earlier i check through internet already including this website you referred to. I was hoping some random dude would be reading through forum and remembered he had the very same problem and managed to resolve it, so he could give me a hint. But thanks anyway

I have the same problem with my M5. But I guess it is a lubrification problem and I would like to fix it myself.
What should I disassemble (if at all necessary). Where should I syringe some fluid?. And What fluid, perhaps lighter fluid?
I would appreciate any help

Talked to Don he said it's an adjustment issue most likely. Asked Youxin also and he said he needs to check the camera first. And Sherry told me to send the camera in for inspection. I am still hoping for some random help
