This compact camera/lens rig has quickly become indispensable. Since I have pressed it into everyday service for photo documentaries, I am very happy with it as a complement to the M3. Both are are about the same size, although the lens is a bit fatter! Both weigh about the same, feel about the same and work about the same. I use the M3 with TriX and the R4 with slower BW film and Color film.
Both fit in the Billinham bag and work well hanging over the shoulder and/or around my neck.
The best description is I don't even have to think about them anymore as they are just a natural for me to use:

In fact, this weekend is Oktoberfest. The R4 will go it alone to finish off a roll of Rollei 80 and hopefully, have time to use a roll of color film.
Best $500 I ever spent on any camera/lens rig.🙂
