I was told that if you purchase an M camera by the end of the year, Leica is issuing 500.00 USD coupons good towards other Leica equipment. So a Leica MP and the 500.00 off a lens pretty much equals the M7 starter kit. I am seriously thinking of doing this.

Yes I understand this is correct, but I believe it is an offer in the U.S. strictly limited to the purchase of a U.S. Passport M7/MP from an authorized U.S. Leica dealer right? If you find a body of choice then verify from the seller that there is offer paperwork such as a coupon in the box. Good luck!! 🙂
