It was a mistake. It was not my idea. Leica people have learned one thing with this story: Do not play with the M!

I doubt Fuji will go there...... they have quite a specialized camera offering but going monochrome seems unlikely.

But what do I know.... for all I know we'll see an X-Mono (Too bad X-M1 is already taken) and a Leica XM

Sign me up for one of those. I have the X1 and I think it's excellent, A monochrom version would be cool.

Who heard Leica bashing here? Apart a critical word from Leica's Owner himself, we had a rational discussion about future cameras, be it from Leica or Fuji.

And by the way, I took pictures with my Fuji X-E1 and Leica lenses today!

I wouldn't mind a mono x, but I'd really, really like a FF mirrorless with evf from Leica.
If Sony is going to sell the new FF NEX at $3000, Leica still has a nice window of customers. Since they have the m, all they need is to screw off the top...please?

Of course, if life were different. You realize that I have no future, right? Buying a new anything is not possible...so I will continue with the used gear I have...but I wish Leica much success with future models and much joy for future users.

I am fond of Leica cameras. I also like many other cameras from other brands.
Still, a Leica is very special.
You could say "I kinda leica my Leica!"
I am content with my M8 and M9.
