Leica Summicron DR Questions

I just got a Leica Summicron 50 DR lens and it won't work on my Bessa R3a (should have read Gandy's write up on the R3a first). It binds up on the inside of the camera. I was going to get a CL or CLE and use the DR w/o the close up goggles, but I can't get a definitive answer on whether it will work on either. Has anyone actually used a DR on one of these bodies? My other problem is that I bought a used 39mm UV filter for the it and it is too big (the filter). Either the filter is not a 39mm filter, or the DR takes a different size. Does anyone know what size filter the DR actually takes? Thanks, Steve.

Very nice lens that fits both cameras. A 50mm frame line is not in the CLE so you will have to guess there or use a separate finder.

50mm DR Summicron does indeed fit the CL. It takes 39mm filters.

Thanks very much guys. Now to search for a CL or CLE. I really like the R3a, but I was looking thru some of my photos and saw that the old DR that I sold has a definite signature look to it, so It's time to find it a body for the current one.

Did you make sure that the DR was focused to infinity before attempting to fit it to the camera? That can make a difference.
