The best camera is one that still works!
By changing construction materials to less expensive options, Leica will be able to offer the M10C (cardboard) at a price that should attract many new buyers.
During an interview, Leica CEO Alfred Schopf, said the new direction for the M mount digital platform was inspired by a recent trip to IKEA.
In line with current trends the new camera will also be released in a monochrome version (M10CM) expected to retail at around fifteen percent above the price of the M10C.

I thought this was actually kind of cute ... apparently someone at the Leica Forum got a 'present' from his kids!

. . . . . I would jump all over it except early reports state there are some focusing issues and the warranty is void if used at all in the rain.

Everything's fine except the color... I'd like it in black chrome.

The red dot on the unmonochrome version makes it worth every penny.

I've seen wooden Leicas, Lego Leicas, and even a Leica cake. But the back story on this one makes it the cutest Leica I've ever seen. I hope those kids' Dad gets them their own cameras for their birthdays.

Ikea just announced new "smart phone" app

You can now shop Ikea via the internet and the new catalogue app. Download the app. Certainly this new Leika (or is it like-a) will be in the catalogue.

Yes, cute, but proper attribution should be cited for personal photos in the first place IMHO. I'll provide the link in this case.

I need to see a proper verdict on this by E.Puts first before I put in my order.

And like most Ikea products, you can adjust the rangefinder cam with a hex/Allen key
