Leica X (all models) - Post your photos!

I'm sorry for your lose. We lost our mother in the past 2 weeks also, I wish I had your courage to photograph her like you did. God Bless.

Not courage as much as a means of distancing myself I think. Looking through the camera at it all is a bit of a break from the reality.

My condolences to you. A rough time indeed. My sister and I had a good cry going through the images. Hard to believe it has been ten months, nearly to the day.

Yes, I have gone through similar situations over the last six years. I always carried my M or X1, or both, in my Billingham Pro bag but never used them until one night during lengthy blood transfusions, I arose from my chair and began to document the scene in the hospital room. Eventually, I was able to photograph a few meaningful moments of my bride with she hooked up to so many devices.

I am not able to downsize any photos on the iPhone so I can't post any images. Suffice to say, looking at that hospital room, it was horrendous then and more so now.do I don't visit that file folder much.

But it is correct to say that I could not have made images without the X1... Discreet, quiet, more than capable under complex lighting...

Again, thank you for sharing such a touching moment in your lives.

Again from the short hike in the Alps, with the around 6 years old x1...

Another from the Leica X1 at the Alpe Devero

Albergo Cervandone takes the name from a mountain in the area. It was closed waiting for a renovation. The night dec 6th 2015 a group of teenagers entered to make a party and the result was that they "managed" to set fire to the roof. Being a very dry area very difficult to reach from the fire brigade it was a miracle that houses in the surroundings were not destroyed by the fire. I have been told that it seems now parents of the boys are facing a real big problem having to pay the damages.

Robert, those are lovely black and whites! And Raid, seeing and enjoying your beach pics from a couple weeks back makes me realize how different our water/beach experiences are! The terrain from one end of the country to the other could not be more different :)

Always Alpe Devero, with the Leioca X1.Unfortunately the camera has a serious dust on sensor problem and to have it cleaned it is necessary to send it to Germany...more expensive than the commercial value of the camera itself :(

More beautiful scenery! Robert, you seem to have a talent for finding these locations... This photo catches my attention as did the others.

Dust. I have no idea what cleaning should cost but I imagine if you bought another new Leica digital, the depreciation over a year would be more than a cleaning of the X1. Let us know what you work out!

Thanks Dave, my wife and me like to go hunting for out of time locations...sometimes!

As for the dust problem expected cost is around 400 EUR (it was last time I did it). For the moment I solved the problem shooting film. A new sensor each photo!

robert

PS: but beside my film cameras I like to have a small digital for easy of use...maybe a preowned T with the 23 F2 ....and an adapter for M lenses....

Another shot from the archive, same journey as previous with the Leica x1. The face of the boy on the bicycle has been blurred in PS even if not so visible in small size.
