Hi All,
Got my "STEER" which fits around the focusing ring of your lens, and gives you a knurled, raised grip. www.leicagoodies.com
I immediately attached it to my Canon F1.2. Had to remove the original Canon hood, to slide it on. Moved it as far forward as possible (so I can still reach the infinity latch with my finger). It greatly improves the speed and handling of the lens, IMO. The unit fits the 50mm 1.2 perfectly, without any cutting, or other modifications. It is also possible to adjust it's circumferance to use with other smaller or larger lenses.
Removing the sticky adhesive wrapper from the foam lining inside the "STEER', I semi-permanantly mounted it in the far-forward position to the 1.2.
I think I am going to like this thing🙂 -Recommended-.
