Samy's camera in Fairfax usually have a couple of used ones. Ask for Tibor, he is the Leica guy in the house.

this is your best best for used Leica in LA

also try Paul's Camera in Torrance,
and call Tony at Popflash to find out any new used additions.

All of the serious used LA camera stores went out of business a long time ago.

I live in LA and it is very hard to find used leica bodies in store without insane prices.. Your best bet is by shopping online (craiglist, rff, other forums). Samy's in Fairfax is a pretty cool place and I had a conversation with their Leica buyer last month, I dont remember his name, he was old..

I also visited BargainCameraShows.com few months ago. Forget about getting leica there, I met a guy selling M3 DS for $1400.

I've found that good used equipment always goes quickly at Samy's

He's the man @ Samy's. Last time I was there they had no used Leicas, bodies or lenses. Perhaps I was just there at a bad time. It is still a cool store, take the stairs.

I'll be in LA Tues thru Thurs, but time will be tight.

They only have junks for astronomical prices.

If you happen to venture to Palm Springs while in the Southland Camera West has a huge selection. They're great guys to boot.

One of the worst major cities for used Leica equipment, but if you're a film shooter check out the freestyle retail storefront on Sunset just west of Normandie.

I buy my films and darkroom equipment at Freestyle, but never seen they sell Leica gear.
