thanks for all the inspirational replies, well the lens has arrived and it looks quite a nice example but only shooting with it and the subsequent images will tell, out of interest has any one used the ltm to fuji x adapters that are on ebay

I've used the ebay ltm-to-fuji adapters. They're pretty solid, but I found that I needed to shim the pieces (it's a two-piece unit; just loosen the grub screws around the perimeter and it will come apart) in order to stop it from focusing past infinity. A single sheet of printer paper seems to have done the trick. Otherwise, no complaints.
