You really should subscribe to Sean Reid's site. You'd already know a lot more than you've even thought to ask...comparisons between Voigtlander 24/4.0 P versus the LTM 25 25/4.0 Skopar, comparisons to other 24/25mm lenses, comparisons on 28 mm lenses, both Leica and other, including issues on use of adapters (which can be coded in lieu of the lens), actual tests showing results of coded and non-coded lenses, etc, etc.

I have no vested interest in his site; just found that it has great info from the perspective of a real photographer, without marketing fluff and useless charts. And, his essays alone are worth the price of admission.

I think 35mm is perfect on M8, and it equals to 50mm on a 135 film-RF.

You could try some different lens and choose which one is fit for your eyes:)

Update:
The other day my Zeiss 50 sonnar arrived about 6 weeks before they said it would arrive :)
This was after I ordered the Voigtlander 25/4.
I guess im stuck with two lenses... :)

I love both of these lenses BTW and find that they work well together as a great combo.
