Lens Caps

What lens cap does the Canadian version of the 50mm Summicron use? I can't seem to find that info.

I have a Canadian 50mm Summicron, and without sticking my neck out too far, I believe any lens cap for the 39mm filter size should fit the lens.

My stuff (M4-2, and 35, 50 and 90mm lenses) all date from the first half of the '80's. And I sure didn't pay today's prices!!

KEH has the Canadian 90mm Summicrons listed as using 48mm filters. I had a 90mm Summicron back in the mid-1980's but I don't remember if it was Canadian or German. I think it used 55mm filters.

No idea of the specific Leica/Leitz part number for the lens caps.

It does take 39mm filters, but the current cap is a poor fit, as the overhang is terrible. I use a Nikon 52mm pinch-type cap inside the hood. Works great.
