Lens Hood for 85mm Tele Tessar ZM

Does anyone know if Zeiss makes a lens hood for the 85mm F4 Tele Tessar?

I've seen one for the F2 but the filter diameter is larger. I'm using a generic one now but I was hoping to use the genuine item. Any suggestions??

I emailed Zeiss from their website about the shade but no response yet. That was 2 weeks ago:bang:

i was told that the official hood is not yet available.

i just ordered a generic hood off ebay and will have to see if it works ok or not. it's advertised as a digital video hood, not round but multi sided. looks good but who knows. it should be here soon.

it was in the mail when i got home.
fits well, looks good and it works with no vignetting.

and it was less than 11 bucks.

The hood for the Tele-tessar 85/4 is listed on Cosina's website here. I'm pretty sure the hood is available at a few shops in Tokyo.

the zeiss hood is also 100 bucks more than my cheapie ebay find.

I emailed Matsuiyastore this morning and put the link to the Cosina site in the note so we'll see what they come up with. I'll let you guys know what happens.

An update on the hood: Zeiss finally emailed me and their response was to put a link to the accessories page of their site (which that hood is not even pictured!!) so no luck there.

However...Matsuiyastore emailed me and said they have them in stock for $102 + $18 shipping so at least that's an option. I'll probably do what back alley did and get a cheap one off eBay though.
