Lens hood Nokton 1.2 35mm; 1.1 50mm

Hello,
compared to the orginally hood, is there a real benfit from the extra available lens hoods for the Nokton 1.2 35mm (LH 6) and the Nokton 1.1 50mm (LH 7).
Or is it only a " cooler" look!🙄

Have you tried it? I tend the original style.

It was enough for me to see that it seems to obstruct visibility in the viewfinder more than the standard one. For me, any other potential benefit is outweighed by this.

I haven' tried the optional hoods.
But as you said , I think they are to big and influence the rangefinder view.
