I am thinking about buying my 3rd manual focus Rokkor lens for my SRT-101 and I was just wondering.........Do you think there will be any way to use my Rokkors on a Dslr body one day? Maybe some type of adapter? Or do you think my lenses are stuck with film bodys forever?

Hi Jeremy,

Forget about the digital thing. It's a fad, a passing fancy. Digital cameras won't exist in another 5 years.

OK, just playin'. Seriously, I don't know about Rokkors. I know my Canons will not work on any Canon digital bodies, because mine are not autofocus.

Manual focus Nikons, on the other hand, WILL fit on their Digital SLRs. Sux to be a Canon collector....

I have heard of but not seen an adapter which will let you use the Rokkor lens on the Olympus E500 and other 4/3 Olympus digital SLR's.

If I ever come across one I may get it if cheap enough and try on my E500 since I still have many fine Rokkor-X lens..

I would not be surprised if in 5 years or less we see basic Chinese-made DSLR's with full frame sensors that will be made to take many of the classic lens mounts.

It's a logical niche which will be filled once sub-assemblies become cheap enough to create cameras like these.

Look at the Chinese cameras available now on sites like ioffer.com or alibaba.com and you'll see what I mean.

You could try some Tamron glass using the AD2 system. 😉
