I like his shot you did!

Following Keith's and Chris's leads with an SLR shot... This is a wide-open 50mm f/1.2 SMC Pentax on an LX, my fastest lens (used for only this one roll so far).

Another from the Pentax K 50/1.2:

Myopia

This was inspired by my eyesight - a fairly accurate representation of what I see without my glasses!

It's interesting that people seem to like the Zuiko 1.2 ... I basically got it because I wanted the fastest lens I could get for my OM system but I've always regarded the bokeh as a bit dizzy and still can't decide whether I really like it or not! It certainly makes the OM a very competent low light camera though and I do rate it as a better lens than my 1.2 Canon.

Being an SLR lens though there is the advantage of being able to focus very close!

wow wow. really impressed with the zuiko 1.2. quite a killer in its class! But seems impossible to get hold of a nice piece anymore...

Heres one when canon 0.95 goes crazy:

This was made with Bessa R4a and the CV NOKTON 1,2 /35.
I usually do B/W but that evening called for colour and I changed the film to Kodak400. My first try to post fotos btw...
Now see the sound of wine!

It's relatively hard to find and usually sells for $500.00 plus which when you consider how cheap the OM system is generally it can be a bit of a hit!

This lens is another item in my collection that I can thank Roland (ferider) for ... he spotted it on eBay at a sensible BIN price and gave me the heads up when he remembered that I was interested in one. It cost me $500.00 USD but it was a one owner and absolutely as new!

This is with X processed Velvia!

Zuiko 55/1.2: I've only started using this lens. It's my first super speed lens and boy is it fun. I can see this road leading down the path to an addiction for this stuff. There is something special about a photo wide open with all the aberrations and optical forces at work. Certainly not the xerox copy that you see at f8.

OM3, TriX with a polarizer to cut down light so I could shoot wide open.

I bought it for $350 not long ago. It is a great lens but yeah, i got a deal with the MSCB.
I also bought the legendary 35-80 zoom but couldn't justify keeping it so now I only have primes for the om system.
Thank you for the advice at the first place:D. I am officially a OM whxre.

Thanks mate. The film I used that night was my fave: Provia 400X

I have a stash of UC400 for the 7/0.95, but I 'll have to try the Provia. My camera and lens are being shipped back from DAG Monday so I'm anxious to see the results of a full CLA and adjustment.

keith> you are one lucky man! I'll love to own this system one day!

MRohlfing> wahaha!

gdi> congrats. your lens will be so well calibrated it will look like a cron stop down.
