One more to show what happens when you apply the A7 digital zoom full blast to the OMZ 85/2. Not sharp, but useful in a pinch--in this case, high tide when I could not get close enough to the harbor seal haul-out to use 85. So this is approximately 340mm digizoom....

I got a used a7 mkI last Thursday, and went out for a quick round of shooting to check the functionality - seems to be working great with the 50 Summilux ASPH. Then this Sunday when testing my 5x7, I took a dozen or so shots with the A7 as well, here with the 90 Elmarit-M:

I did it. After many agonizing months of trying to save I went out and bought a Sony a7 to use with my Minolta AF lenses.
Now, I have to sell the Sony A700 to help pay for the camera and LA-EA4 adapter!
I hope it provides as many wonderful images as my Ricoh GXR did!
