Congrats. I have a similar early M3, but without preview lever. After recent CLA it's more joy to use than my black M3 SS.

The DR Cron interfere with the light baffle on the M8 I think. I remember that I cant lock the lens in on my M8

Hi Ron - the DR Summicron won't mount on the M8 because of the dual-range (close-focus) cam. As soon as that's shimmed off, it'll mount nicely - and it won't be a big deal since the goggles are long gone...
