It was bought that way and I like it. Although original black paint M2 is more precious but is a bit too expensive.

Dude, that is gorgeous! Enjoy it. A perfect Wide kit.
ErikFive said:Leica M6(picked it up last week) with super-angulon 3.4 and 21-24-28 viewfinder. I picked up this lens today at super bargain price. No fungus, haze, dust, oil on blades. Really clean. Some scratches on the outside.
Meleica: I think you need to adjust your super-angulon serials cause this one is 202xxxx.
Now I really need to get rid of some cameras.

Hello summilux--through the haze of my glasses, the Summilux on the front of the M5 sure looks like it is spelling "noctilux"--Am I seeing things? It's happened before...

My M4-Ps They are well loved!
Hello all. I just joined today Sunday, April 22, 07. I have spent way too much time looking around the site today. There is some really great stuff on this site and some very intersting people. I am looking forward to learning a lot here.
My cameras on my desk a few minutes ago. I never thought to take a photo of them until I saw this thread.
They aren't pretty! Notice the repair to the back hinges. And the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens was my Dad's when he was in Vietnam.
...I busted the 35mm 1.5 when I was in college. Shuu..don't tell him.:bang:

summilux,
Your M3 with rigid summicron is perhaps the most beautiful M combination I've seen. Your photo of them is stunning. They must be a pleasure to shoot with.

Dear Frank,
A chrome M6 classic with 0.85 viewfinder already is something special. There are not that many M6 classic with the 0.85 vf and according to Stephen Gandy (nearly) all of them are said to be black:
http://www.cameraquest.com/m685.htm
If your M6 came out of factory with the 0.85 viewfinder, you have something every collector dreams of (not me, I´m no collector)
Combined with an all metall advance lever your M6 is very special if not unique - enjoy it.

The Leica brochure that announced the classic .85 said it would only be available in black chrome. Is the camera possibly a post-production re-fit?
Of course, never say never...

I must say having a battered M2 is kind of a relief! Now I won't have to be too carefull with it, but ofcourse carefull enough
