That's a good thing, I know that.
Actually If that's true I had no idea, I just take pictures with it.
What's the deal behind the Brass ones?

I have to say that black chrome CAN age well- that M4-2 is pretty beautiful memphis.
My M5 has, and the older M7 is starting, to get some character, but the M6 just looks beat-up.

I had sent the camera to DAG for the finder upgrade and asked him to black dot it while he had it. He sells them for $15.borismach said:I like your black label. How did you get that?

Hi abenner, I notice the rapidwinder on your M3. It looks just great. Is it in black paint or black chrome finish? Love the hairline texture on it.

after seeing some pics, i'm really liking the black saddle leather. have you seen them? i don't remember the thread.... anyhow, the vulkanit is really...pebbly.

edho - The Rapidwinder is the regular black anodized version, not the black glossy. It doesn't match the glossy Shintaro paint exactly but it's close and wears well.

What a great thread - learned so much about inzeresting combinations - THANK YOU ALL!!!!
These are my daily used cams:
M8 - silver, halfcase, sometimes universal finder - I love the silver one, cause it looks more like a vintage cam...
M6 Classic - silver, with attatched leicavit and halfcase - I tried several times to change it with a MP, but I can´t , I still love the classic M6 - iz was for nearly 10 years my dream camera.
M4p - my first M, with leicameter MR and, for the foto, with attatched winder M.
Never will give away my first M - and in opposite to so many people, who don´t like the M4p - I think it is at the moment one of the best possibilities to enter the M System.
Also the leicameter is not so bad in use - I love the bigger size of the speed dial from the leicameter and it is not so much slower than the exposer meter in the M6...
Some lenses and my Sekonic, which I love to use also, specially with meterless cams...
What I dream about:
M3 and M2 both repainted in black (one of my next projects - I keep you informed..)
and a black chrome M4...
Greetings to you all

Sepiareverb, flush in Bergen is a kind of weather
The camera was just in after a walk, that's what happens on 4 out of 5 days here.
I've had it for only one month but have grown to love it
Compared to Contax, the process of photography is nearly effortless. I find myself taking shots just so that I have reason to fiddle with the controls
The lens is temporary, while waiting 1.5 Jupiter back from service. Feels odd that the adapter it sits on costs like 6 times more than the lens itself. It seems to be of correct period however, even if from the wrong side of Iron Curtain
