Let's see your Leica M

Nice kit Johan, is that the M2 painted by nobbylon?

It is, Ron.

It is holding up fantastically, considering that I do not baby my camera's. I'm not tossing them around either, but the paint is one year old now and still tough as nails.

This is now my only M so it might see slightly more action this year. I do not expect too see sudden dramatic paint loss anywhere soon.

Here are my leicas!

Dave wrote it on Flickr, so I quote it here

This M2 Black paint, was not an original black paint that Leica produced, it's unconfirmable whether or not it was factory re-painted. It doesn't have the markings of the Japanese craft painters and it was a factory option to repaint this back in 1966 when it was produced.

Thank you, Akiva and Matt ! :) My son (3 and half now ...) got already addicted and started playing with my M3 this morning during breakfast ... :D

Hi,
Not a listed "Black paint M2" Very nice black paint job though. Who did the paintwork, was it SHINTARO.

Congratulations on acquiring such a beauty!

It was so upsetting (for me) to see this was sold so quickly. I think I missed it by minutes! :p

Thanks guys :) I haven't a clue who painted it, the lugs are brassed, no way to tell who did it.

Congrats on the M3 maddoc!!

sold my m8 setup a couple of years ago. went through OMD-M5 and other cameras but it didn't feel right. had opportunity to buy a used m9-p in chrome and went for it.
