Let's see your Leica M

My "new" M3 and my first official M and Leica... Just came today so I've not even run a roll through it. Looking through the viewfinder earlier, I pondered who had used it before me, what they took photos of, what memories it had captured up until it reached my hands.

Hmmm...I haven't thought about my M3 in the same way but now that you mentioned it, "images" of owners/users, places travelled to, and variety of shooting situations come flooding through my mind. :)
 
This has to be the event horizon. Even here you are just about beyond the point of no return but, there may still be a way back.
It will take tons of courage to escape the grip of a double Leica MP black hole. Here's how it's done, package a minimum of one MP, (better both to insure escape) & mail them to me a.s.a.p.! I will see to their proper disposal, free of any charges. :D
 
1966 M2, KS-15(4), part of a small run built for US Army. It's an M2 with an M4 style take up spool. There are a few other internal differences as well.

Attached is the very first IXMOO-Rapidwinder, #1 out of only 100 built.

This camera is absolutely pristine and the best condition vintage M I've ever handled (out of hundreds.)
