Nice MP, and I see you have the black frame counter disk. Ala Carte?

The fact that it has a full Leica inscription on top and isn't an MP-6 suggests it is definitely ala carte.

I miss my M4. She's up in Canada with Gerry at Kinderman and he's working on bringing her back from the dead.
Three years ago the camera was accidentally yanked out of my hands and hit the ground hard. The corner of the top plate was smashed and there was some damage to the frame counter. Total disaster.
Leica wanted $500 plus engraving cost for a replacement top plate. That plus the other parts and repairs would have pushed the bill to nearly $1000.
So, I decided to wait until I could find a second hand top plate. Unfortunately they are rare as hens teeth and when you do find them they are not cheap. Last month I came across one for an absolute bargain price and according to the serial number it's even from the same year that mine is.
In any case I'll have her back in a few weeks. The repair is still going to cost a lot of money, but I've had that camera for almost 15 years and it's been all over the world with me. It's funny how photographers get attached to their cameras, like it's some sort of a pet or stuffed animal.

Gerry Smith has worked on several of my cameras and lenses and does absolutely great work. He's not as well known as Don or Sherry, but Gerry is one of the few people on the planet that I'll let near my cameras. Heck I don't even live in Canada anymore and I still send him my gear.
And he's a great guy to boot.
